Funding flights to support our home island communities

Channel Island charities, groups and individuals are once again invited to apply for funding for travel off island in the latest round of Blue Islands travel support.

Whether it’s sport, art, enrichment or development, we wish to play our part in enabling islanders to pursue their individual and shared ambitions.

To apply, our criteria is:

  • You are applying to access an opportunity that would be impossible or very difficult to achieve without the support of free flights
  • The activity must enable something good to happen (an opportunity, experience, development or achievement for example) to the benefit of the recipient(s) and, where possible, the broader community
  • Sponsorship must directly benefit the recipient
  • Applicants should be willing to share their journey with us via social media and other marketing activities.

We anticipate a huge interest in this latest round of funding and look forward to selecting as many worthy beneficiaries as possible.

We are so grateful to Blue Islands for their support. When we have to move pilots and engineers involved with our Search & Rescue aircraft, these flights make a great difference to our team.

John Fitzgerald, Search Crew Manager, Channel Islands Air Search

The flight funding that Blue Islands has provided has been so important for us to begin our padel tennis journey and create vital opportunities for our future.

Luke and Cameron Gomes, competing in a Padel competition at the National Tennis Centre

I would like to say a huge thanks to Blue Islands, my parents and coaching. All the support has allowed me to achieve another special moment in my swimming career that will stay with me forever.

Alana Woodhall, competing in the Swim England National Summer Championships

I’m so grateful for the opportunity to play in competitions off island. It’s such a privilege to play among so many inspiring players and make more connections with people like myself. I may have a disability but I can also play golf.

Adam Dalton, Jersey Golfer playing in the Johnny Reay Classic for players with disabilities

Thank you to Blue Islands for funding these flights. As a S13 para-swimmer this meant I was able to have a tapper at each end of the lane in a 50m pool, this greatly helped me to hit all my targets and win 4 Gold medals.

Rebecca Hardy-Bishop, competing in the Hampshire Country ASA Championships 2023

We would like to say a huge thank you to Blue Islands for supporting the Family First service. These visits are invaluable to our team so that we can stay up to date with the information and support we provide to families.

Cheryl Dobel, Family First

It makes such a difference having access to the Loughborough University High Performance Centre. Thank you to Blue Islands for sponsoring my flights.
