Blue Islands has announced that former easyJet UK director and Chief Commercial Officer of Flybe, Malaysia Airlines and Cobalt Air, Paul Simmons, has joined the Blue Islands board.

Blue Islands today launched its third new service for 2019, which sees three flights per week connecting Guernsey and Jersey to Cornwall Airport Newquay this summer.

Blue Islands is set to expand its Guernsey team as the airline gears up to provide its own ground handling services at Guernsey Airport.

Specialist German tour operator Globalis has partnered with Blue Islands to operate flights from 22 different German airports, as well as one Swiss airport to Jersey over a 16-week period this summer.
