Blue Islands Launches Guernsey to Bristol
Local airline and Flybe franchise partner, Blue Islands, has launched a Guernsey - Bristol service this winter, with fares from £39.99 one way available at flybe.com.
Rob Veron, Blue Islands CEO, said the airline was pleased it could offer this convenient Bristol service to Guernsey residents.
With Blue Islands’ new triangular service via Jersey, Guernsey residents will now be able to fly Monday to Friday, and Sunday to and from Bristol this winter. For islanders and visitors alike, it’s a seamless experience, served as one flight (BE6484) on flybe.com with passengers (and checked baggage) staying onboard the same aircraft in Jersey and disembarking in Bristol. For passengers departing Bristol, the service (BE6485) is again via Jersey with Guernsey passengers staying onboard the same aircraft.
Voted as Rough Guides’ Top UK City of 2017 – calling it the coolest city in Britain and named as one of the 52 top places on earth to visit in 2018 by the New York Times, Bristol is steeped in history and culture, and home to world-famous Banksy. Plus, there’s an excellent choice of museums, a diverse independent food and craft beer scene, varied museums including the Being Brunel Museum and a chance to see Concorde at the Aerospace museum – Bristol is a city which will never let you have a dull moment.
Mr Veron added
This additional winter service demonstrates Blue Islands’ flexibility to add another destination to its route network as part of its commitment to continually seek opportunities to improve island connectivity and to further manage increased costs through fleet optimisation to drive long-term viability.
In January, the service will become a single outbound on Friday afternoons, with Monday to Friday and Sunday afternoon Bristol to Guernsey services.
