A new travel partnership saw families across the Channel Islands enjoy a hassle-free half-term after Guernsey-based specialist tour operator Allez Ski joined with local airline Blue Islands to provide family ski packages with direct flights to Grenoble.
Rob Veron, Blue Islands CEO, said this was an excellent example of two local companies working together to give Channel Islanders terrific experiences.
Blue Islands was proud to be chosen by Allez Ski as its travel partner to provide an excellent value-for-money holiday, which removed the hassle and expense of having to travel via a hub airport located in the opposite direction to their destination. In total we flew more than 270 people direct to Grenoble from Guernsey and Jersey.
To get their holidays of to an extra special start, passengers were treated to champagne and sweets as they boarded, courtesy of Blue Islands – which operated two of its 68-seat ATR 72 aircraft for each of the flights.
Darren Duquemin, owner of Allez Ski, said:
Creating our family-friendly ski holidays meant working closely with a range of specially-selected partners and foremost amongst them is Blue Islands. The incredibly positive feedback from clients in resort is the direct flights coupled with the short transfer to Chamrousse are a real game-changer.
Mr Veron added,
as a dedicated Channel Islands airline we are always reviewing how we can better serve our communities and partnerships with specialist operators such as Allez Ski are a perfect example.
