What are we doing to keep you safe?

We’re ready to welcome you back to our little island and to share our big spirit with you once again. You will find things are a little different here now, quieter and safer. We’ve put new measures in place that ensure the health and well-being of you, your loved ones, and our local community.

Staying safe on your island break

With travel resuming our tourism industry including hotels, restaurants, guesthouses, bars and visitor attractions are committed to ensuring you have the safest break possible. From the moment you arrive at the airport to when you check into your hotel, whether you take a relaxing boat trip, explore our many heritage experiences or have a relaxing day at the beach, we've ensured your wellbeing is safeguarded every step of the way.

Physical distancing is important, keep a space of one metre between yourself and others where possible and avoid close contact including shaking hands and hugs.

Jersey reopened its borders on Friday 03 July 2020. Travel is subject to airlines flight schedules. It is recommended that you check Jersey’s safer travel guidelines as well as latest travel advisory guidelines of your departure destination prior to travel.

An online registration form must be completed before your flight to Jersey and you must disclose all countries visited within 14 days of your arrival. Visitors have a choice to either undergo a PCR test upon arrival into Jersey or self-quarantine for 14 days.

  • Ensure you have completed a pre-departure registration form. 
  • Ensure you declare any countries you have visited other than your country of departure within 14 days prior to arriving in Jersey. 
  • Be available to the Contact Tracing Team and follow Public Health guidance for the duration of their stay in Jersey.

  • If you undergo a PCR test, you must take reasonable steps to limit the time you spend away from your residence and to limit your social contact during this time, while awaiting results. 
  • All arrivals must comply with the precautionary measures applied in Jersey airport (wearing masks, maintaining 1m social distance and washing hands regularly)

  • If tested positive, the contact tracing team will be in touch to advise and visitors must provide information on whom they have had close contact with, in the days prior to receiving the test result. 
  • If help is needed, the Government of Jersey will ensure that adequate accommodation will be provided at no additional cost to the traveller.
