The Temple Bar

A guide to Dublin would not be complete without exploring what some say is the best pub scene in the world! From pubs over 100 years old, to cosmopolitan Irish Rock bars to actual stag’s heads, we've found some of the best places to drink in Dublin…

The Hairy Lemon

The Hairy Lemon is a locals favourite and claims to have the best bar staff and the best atmosphere of any other pub in Dublin! It’s located just 500 meters from Grafton street and one of its many attractions is that scenes from the iconic movie "The Commitments" were filmed here.

Bruxelles

Discover a bustling cosmopolitan bar just a stone’s throw from Grafton Street. Bruxelles has it all - breakfast, lunch, dinner, sports, live music, djs, all across three bars. Whether you’re relaxing with friends over traditional Irish food or looking for a taste of some good old rock music, visiting Bruxelles is a truly unique experience and one you will not forget in a hurry!

The Long Hall

The Long Hall on George Street is one of the oldest pubs in Dublin, with an exquisite Victorian interior dating back to 1881. Look out for the intricately carved archway which is strikingly unique. As well as a great place for a pint, we might also mention that this is Bruce Springsteen’s favourite pub whenever he’s in town!

The Palace Bar - in Temple Bar

The Palace Bar is easy to spot with it’s cacophony of floral hanging baskets out front. Less touristy than other pubs in the Temple Bar district, it stands out with its traditional wood interior and literary background - Patrick Kavanagh was a regular back in the day.

The Temple Bar

Have a drink inside the famous walls of the Temple Bar - quite possibly the most iconic bar in all of Dublin. Tourists flock from all over the world to have a drink here so expect it to be busy! Located right in the heart of the city with a bright red exterior it’s a huge part of Dublin’s central nightlife scene.

The Stag’s Head

Find a gem of a pub with stained glass windows, mosaic floors and a stag’s head on the wall. Located just off busy Dame Street, step inside to find moody mahogany, understated low tables and a showstopping red marble bar with carved partitions. The interior hasn’t changed in years, and once you see it, you wouldn’t want it to either.

Kehoe’s Pub

For arguably the best pint of Guinness in Dublin (and that’s a tough competition!) head to Kehoe’s in the heart of Dublin City. As soon as you walk through the door, you feel the sense of history – almost like being in someone’s family home. Enjoy a great pint in one of the most traditional pubs in Dublin.
