From the historic old town to the young and vibrant Zürich-West, from the inviting blue waters of Lake Zurich to snow-capped mountains - there are plenty of amazing things to do in Zurich.

Lake Zurich

Lake Zurich is one of Switzerland’s “Big Five” in terms of lakes. When standing next to the famous Ganymede statue on the Burkliterrasse, you can see as far as the Swiss Alps. The lake is a popular excursion destination for swimming, sailing, boating, and picnicking on the shore.

Grossmünster

The Grossmünster church is a landmark of Zurich. Legend has it that the church was built on the graves of the city’s patron saints, Felix and Regula. The stained glass windows, the Romanesque crypt, choir windows, bronze doors and the cloister Reformation Museum are just some of the highlights see here.

Uetliberg

A must see is Uetliberg - Zurich's very own "mountain", from where you have beautiful views of the city and lake and even a glimpse of the Alps. There’s plenty to discover on well-marked hiking routes, a mountain bike route, and on the Planet Trail. It’s even worth a visit in the winter when the hiking trails to the summit are converted into sledding runs!

Sechseläutenplatz – The Square

With the opera house, the Kronenhalle, the Café Odeon and Lake Zurich just a stone’s throw away the Sechseläutenplatz is the ideal starting point for your sightseeing tour. It is one of the largest city squares in Switzerland – created with 16,000 m² of elegant quartzite. Trees, places to sit and water elements make it a place well worth visiting.

Lindenhof

From Roman Fort to Green Vantage Point Over Zurich Lindenhof is an oasis at the heart of the city that looks back on a moving history.

Zurich Old Town

The historic heart of the city beats on both sides of the Limmat river, where guild houses, churches and historic places line the romantic little streets and adorn the hidden corners. Discover one of Switzerland’s most fascinating old towns.

Zurich-West

From Industrial Quarter to Trendy District, the west of Zurich boasts an unpolished charm. Where ships were once built and engines bolted together, art, design, food, culture shopping and architecture are now the center of attention. An ode to creativity and a must for the quirky minded!
